Hirsla has negotiated a special agreement with most publishers of Icelandic health science journals. This agreement allows Hirsla to store published articles in html or pdf format and make them available in open access without any charge. Publishers do not charge Hirsla for this agreement. Some of these health science journals are only published in printed format. These printed journals are therefore only available in electronic format through Hirsla. Most of the articles have English abstracts.
