The number of psychiatric patients receiving disability compensation is rising. Why? [editorial]Citation
Læknablaðið 2007, 93(1):7Abstract
Læknarnir Sigurður Thorlacius og Sigurjón B. Stefánsson ásamt Stefáni Ólafssyni rita athyglisverða grein í þetta hefti Læknablaðsins (1). Þeir hafa um árabil stundað rannsóknir á ýmsum þáttum örorku. Nýgengi og algengi örorku hefur aukist á Íslandi líkt og í öðrum vestrænum löndum. Öryrkjar eru þó hlutfallslega færri hér en í nágrannalöndum og einnig virðist aukningin hafa komið síðar fram. Samanburður milli landa er þó varasamur vegna ólíkra velferðarkerfa.Description
